Mike was born December 18, 1936 to the late Benedict and Freda Konopa in Washington, DC. He was also predeceased by his son Kevin.

Mike is survived by his wife Nancy Konopa of Round Hill, VA; 11 children Michael Konopa, Jr, Kathryn Lewandowski, Kirsten McCall, Otto Konopa, Theresa McClure, Agnes Smith, Marianne Gordon, Christopher Konopa, Karl Konopa, Frede Greene and Paul Konopa; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. The family will receive friends on Tuesday February 19th from 10-11 a.m. at St. Francis de Sales Roman Catholic Church. A funeral memorial mass will begin at 11 a.m. Contributions may be given to the Hackett Fund at St. John’s College High School, Washington, DC or the Round Hill Volunteer Fire Department.
