Carlos Gene Boyd of Pineland, Texas April 3, 1941 – February 16, 2019 Mr. Carlos Gene Boyd of Pineland, Texas died Saturday February 16, 2019. He was born April 3, 1941 in Kirbyville, Texas and was 77 years of age. Carlos and his wife Betty owned and operated Pineland Drive-In Grocery for 28 years and he was a member of the Pineland City Council for about 20 years as well.

There will be a visitation of friends and family Tuesday February 19, 2019 from 5 to 8 pm at Starr Funeral Home. His funeral service will be 2:00 pm Wednesday February 20, 2019 in Starr Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Floyd Wright and Bro Tracy Lane officiating.

Burial will follow in Hemphill Cemetery. He is survived by his wife Betty Boyd of Pineland, son Brian Boyd of Lufkin, daughter Tina Crocker and husband Rodney of Owasco, Oklahoma, sisters Pat Frederick of Houston, and Jean Horton of Tyler, sister-in-law Erlene Boyd of San Augustine, grandchildren Clayton Crocker of Clovis, New Mexico and Colton Crocker of Tulsa, Oklahoma and cousin Ginger Rash of Hemphill.
