Obituary Carlus Mosier, age 71, of Varnell, passed away Sunday, May 26th, 2019 surrounded by his loving family. He was preceded in death by his parents, Alonzo and Mary Mosier; brothers, David and Buford Mosier; sister, Dorothy Ann Morgan; aunts, uncles and cousins. He served on the Varnell City Council for over 10 years.

He retired after working at Shaw Industries for over 32 years. Over his lifetime, he donated over 5 gallons to blood assurance. He loved antique cars, woodworking, gardening, but most of all, he loved his family.

He is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Shirley Mosier; 3 daughters and sons-in-law, Waydean and Victor Felix of Jasper, TN, Cindy Huerta of Dalton, Marylou and Shandell Stephens of Dalton; sister-in-law, Sandra Mosier of Athens, TN; grandchildren, Robert, Dustyn and Tessa Stephens, Stephanie Huerta and Chasity Bradley; step-grandkids, Lovely, Latoya, L’Dareus, Selena, and Aaliyah Felix; great-grandchildren, Bleu, Bandit, Bonnie, Kierra, and Riddick Stephens, Landon, Jaxson and Bentley Bradley; best friends, Ron and Shelia Tavares; nieces, nephews, and cousins also survive. The funeral service will be held Thursday, May 30, 2019 at 3:00 p.m. at the Pleasant Grove Chapel of Julian Peeples Funeral Home with Rev. Brett Bellamy and Ronnie Kyle officiating.
