New Middletown – Carol J. Jandrokovic, 76, of New Middletown, passed away Thursday May 23, 2019 at Salem Community Hospital. Carol was born August 22, 1942 in Youngstown, a daughter of Phil and Mary (D’Orazio) Ciufo and had been a lifelong area resident. She was 1960 graduate of Hubbard High School and shortly thereafter, earned her degree in nursing.

Carol worked as a nurse for Youngstown Northside Hospital for forty years retiring in 2005. She was a member of Our Lady of Sorrows Church in Youngstown. After an outstanding nursing career, Carol enjoyed culinary arts, cruising, boating, reading and spending time with her family.

Besides her husband, John Jandrokovic, the love of her life, whom she married January 27, 1979, she leaves her daughter, Lisa Holstein of Boardman; her son, Mark DeGeorge of Austintown; a daughter-in-law, Brooke (Amber) DeGeorge; a brother, Phil Ciufo of Florida; a brother-in-law, Paul Jandrokovic of Boardman; three granddaughters, Harley, Kylie, and Sienna Holstein; a grandson, Anthony (Emily) DeGeorge of Knoxville, Tennessee; a great-grandson, Dominic DeGeorge, and a great-granddaughter, Ryleigh (Holstein) Razo. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister-in-law, Joann (Jandrokovic) Carpenter. A memorial mass will be celebrated 11:00 a.m. Saturday May 25, 2019 at Our Lady of Sorrows Church, 915 Cornell Street, Youngstown, Ohio, 44502.
