Carol Jane Hodge, 75, of North Vernon passed away at 3:00 a.m. on Sunday, July 8, 2018, at her residence. Born October 9, 1945, in Liberty, Kentucky, she was the daughter of Marvin and Edna Pemberton Hatfield. She married Bobby Hodge on October 10, 1964 in Tennessee; he survives.

Mrs. Hodge was a housewife/homemaker who enjoyed babysitting, shopping and going to yard sales. Surviving with her husband Bobby are daughters, Peggy (Danny) Riffle and Pamela (Darrell) Brazee both of North Vernon; sister, Eula (Erdean) Weddle of Liberty, Kentucky; grandchildren, Joshua (Angie) Lucas of Madison, Danielle (Justin Hammon) Riffle, Jacob (Amanda) Riffle, Tosha Brazee, Lauren Riffle, Kasen Riffle, Clayton (Hannah) Riffle, Shaynna Brazee, Nicci Dyer, Willy Riffle and Jerry Riffle all of North Vernon and fifteen great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; grandchild, Krista Riffle; sisters, Alleen Hogue, Lois Lanham, Catherine Hall and Doris Heckman; brothers, Jack, Paul, and Harold Hatfield.

A Funeral service for Mrs. Hodge will be conducted at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 12, 2018, at the Dove-Sharp & Rudicel Funeral Home and Cremation Services in North Vernon. Visitation will be on Thursday, July 12, 2018 at the funeral home from 4:00 p.m. until time of service.
