Mary Elaine Barrett, 56, of Eddyville, Kentucky, formerly of North Vernon, passed away at 7:57 p.m. on Tuesday, September 11, 2018, at Princeton Health and Rehab Center in Princeton, Kentucky. Born December 1, 1961 in Knox County, Indiana, Ms. Barrett was the daughter of Eva Mae Gabbard. Ms. Barrett was a member of Middle Fork Baptist Church in Dupont and enjoyed spending time with family.

Survivors include her son, D. J. (Rachel) Smith of Seymour; daughters, Cheyenne (Robert Waltermire) Claire of North Vernon, Crystal Mullins and Suzette ton both of Eddyville, Kentucky; Companion, Phillip Wells of Eddyville, Kentucky; grandchildren, Wyatt Waltermire of North Vernon, Levi Smith and Jackson Smith both of Seymour, Jaelyn Mullins and Brooklynn ton of Eddyville, Kentucky. She was preceded in death by her mother, Eva Mae Gabbard; step-father, Don Gabbard; and maternal grandparents, Burt and Lucille Porter. A funeral service for Mrs. Barrett will be conducted at 12:00 p.m. (noon) Friday, September 14, 2018, at the Dove-Sharp & Rudicel Funeral Home and Cremation Services in North Vernon.

Family and Friends may call on Friday, from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. Burial will be in Dupont Cemetery in Dupont. Memorials may be made through the funeral home for expenses.
