Robin Sue Rayburn, 70, of North Vernon, passed away at 1:12 p.m. on Thursday, September 13, 2018, at Columbus Regional Hospital. Born July 19, 1948, in Jennings County, Mrs. Rayburn was the daughter of Thomas and Virginia (Swisher) Bowerly. She married Randy Rayburn in 1984 in Vernon.

Mrs. Rayburn was a 1967 graduate of North Vernon High School and attended two years of Vocational School. She worked as a caregiver, a cashier for Walmart and a cashier/hostess for Cracker Barrel. She was a former member of North Vernon Chapter #183 Order of the Eastern Star, Psi Iota Xi Sorority and lifelong Democrat and member of the Democrat Ladies Group.

Mrs. Rayburn enjoyed relaxing with her family. Surviving with her husband, Randy Rayburn is a son, Dalon Lipsey of Huntsville, Alabama; daughter, Rebecca Coleman of Fairfax, Virginia; brother, David (Rose) Bowerly of Clinton; grandchildren, Lorna Coleman of Fairfax, Virginia, Michael Coleman, Elaina Lipsey and Dillon Lipsey, all of Huntsville, Alabama. She was preceded in death by her parents; her infant twins; and a brother, Darrel Bowerly.

In keepings with her wishes cremation is planned and a memorial service may be held at a later date. Dove-Sharp & Rudicel Funeral Home and Cremation Services in North Vernon were entrusted with the care of these arrangements.
