Carol Jean Buckner January 18, 1935 – May 20, 2019 Share this obituary Send Flowers Sign Guestbook| Send Sympathy Card Carol Jean Buckner, 84, of Bessemer, AL passed away May 20, 2019. She was a member of North Highlands Baptist Church. she retired from Edward’s Realty with 20 years of service.

She also retired from the office of Dr. Carl Robinson. She was a loving wife, devoted mother and proud “MeeMaw”. Special thanks to Kindred Hospice and the staff at the Oaks on Parkwood and Dr. Michael Moore and Dr. Rick Player for the loving care they gave our mother.

Carol was preceded in death by her husband, Tommy Buckner and her son, Joel Buckner. She is survived by her son, Jeff (Jackie) Buckner; her daughters, Paula (Terry) Hinton and Susan Waldrop; her grandchildren, Joshua (Leslie), Ashley, Nick, Corie (John), Lindsey (Jacob) and Annie; great grandchildren, Allie, Reid, Kaylee and Jack. Chapel service Thursday, May 23, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. at Bessemer Brown Service Funeral Home with burial following at Cedar Hill Cemetery.

The family will receive friends Thursday from 1:00 p.m. until service time. Bro. Michael Wallace will be officiating the service.
