Carol L Monsen, 79, of Cliffwood Beach passed away Tuesday, September 25, 2018 at Bayshore Community Hospital. She was born in Brooklyn moving to Cliffwood Beach 55 years ago. Carol is a communicant of St. Josephs RC Church, Keyport and held various positions with the Matawan/Aberdeen School District.

Carol is pre deceased by her husband, Kenneth, son Brian and parents Edward and Margaret Abernethy. She is survived by her loving children Kenneth of Riverside, CA and Donna Rooney and her fiance, Marcelo Diaz of Cliffwood Beach, 3 adoring grand children, Charles Rooney, Christopher Rooney and Amanda Occhiogrosso. Visitation will be held Monday, Oct 1, 2018 from 2-4 & 7-9pm at the funeral home.

Family and friends may gather at the funeral home at 9:15am, Tuesday, Oct. 2, 2018 followed by a 10am Mass of Christian Burial at St. Josephs RC Church. Interment will follow at Brigadier General William C. Doyle Veterans Cemetery.
