Obituary of Carol Albertson Carol Ann Boyes Albertson, age 74, of Erie, passed away at her residence on Tuesday, November 20, 2018 after a brief battle with cancer. She was born in Erie on February 1, 1944, the beloved daughter of the late Samuel and Mary Bules Bowes. She retired from the VNA Hospice in 2008 and was a member of Blessed Sacrament R.C. Church.

She enjoyed sewing, baking, gardening, and taking trips to the casino with her pet, Rodney. Carol was preceded in death by her husband Harry Albertson, two sisters, and one brother. She is survived by five sons: John (Kelly), David (Barb), James (Jen), Steven (Tammy) Pursell, and Harry”Joe” (Tracy) Albertson, one sister Joan Bubna, 16 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

Friends may call at the Dusckas-Martin Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 4216 Sterrettania Rd. on Friday, November 23, 2018 from 2 to 5 pm and 7 to 9 pm and are invited there on Saturday, November 24 at 10:15 am for prayers followed by a Funeral Mass at Blessed Sacrament R.C. Church 1626 West 26th Street, Erie at 11:00 a.m. Interment Laurel Hill Cemetery. The family extends their heartfelt thanks to Mary of Hospice, Tracy Horn, Kyle Amann and Barb Schnars for making Carol’s final days comfortable.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the family in care of the funeral home or to Heartland Hospice, 719 Indiana Drive, Erie, PA 16505.
