Obituary for Nancy J. Konieczki (Anderson) Nancy Jean Anderson Konieczki, 79, loving wife, mother and grandmother, passed away Sunday, November 11, 2018. She was born in Erie on June 9, 1939, a daughter of the late Gustaf Anderson and Henrietta Daub. Nancy retired from the VA Medical Center in 2001 but never stopped working as a mother and grandmother.
She enjoyed bowling and card club with friends. She also enjoyed crocheting blankets and making Christmas stockings for her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Nancy loved to travel, especially to Walt Disney World with her husband and grandchildren.
She always had a meal ready for anyone who stopped by. Her family meant everything to her and loved spending time with them. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond J. Konieczki, Sr., in 2011 and her brothers, Richard Daub, and Gus and Roger Anderson.
She will be sadly missed by her daughters, Carol Goodman (Charles), Jan Hayes (Larry), Diane Visalle (Mark), and Linda Kessler (Kyle); her sons, Raymond Konieczki, Jr. (Nancy), Joe Konieczki (Linda), Michael Konieczki and Matthew Konieczki (Diana); 19 grandchildren, and 14 great-grandchildren. Also survived by her sister, Karen Milewski and her brothers, Harry Daub and James Anderson. Friends may call at the Russell C. Schmidt & Son Funeral Home, Inc., 5000 Wattsburg Rd.
on Wednesday from 5 to 8 p.m. and Thursday from 2 to 5 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. and are invited to a prayer service there on Friday morning at 9:45 a.m. followed by a Funeral Mass at St. James Catholic Church at 10:30 a.m. Burial will follow in Wintergreen Gorge Cemetery.
