Carol E. Dewalt, 77, of Wind Gap, formerly of Forks Township, passed away Wednesday, October 17, 2018 in St. Luke’s Hospital-Anderson Campus. Born September 28, 1941, in Easton, PA, she was a daughter of the late Russell G. and Pauline (Jones) Gabert. Carol graduated from Nazareth High School Class of 1959.

She and her husband, Glenn G. Dewalt, celebrated their 55th wedding anniversary on September 15, 2018. Carol was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who enjoyed spending time with her family. She enjoyed traveling to Florida with her family, drawing blueprints of homes and taking care of animals, especially birds and cats.

She was a member of Forks United Church of Christ and a former member of St. Peter’s United Church of Christ, Tatamy. Surviving in addition to her husband are her children, Beth Dewalt, of Wind Gap, Michael Dewalt and his wife Christine and Rebecca Dewalt, all of Easton and April Kocher and her husband Truman, of Orlando, FL; two sisters, Dianne Ponist and her husband John, of Plainfield Township and Linda Kovacs and her husband Bob, of Saylorsburg; ten grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by a great-granddaughter, Layla Knighton.

Services will be held at 11:30am Tuesday in Forks U.C.C., 4500 Sullivan Trail, Stockertown. Call Tuesday 10-11:30am in the church. Burial will be in Northampton Memorial Shrine.
