Carolyn Nadine Albaugh, 75, of Westminster passed away on Saturday, November 10, 2018 at Carroll Hospice Dove House. Carolyn was born on September 16, 1943 in Baltimore County and was the daughter of the late Lewis Grant and Geraldine May (nee Fowble) Shaffer. She was the beloved wife of 27 years to the late Arthur F. Albaugh, Jr., and who predeceased her in January 1989.

She was a graduate of Hereford High School. After graduation she worked for Social Security for 4 years… Read More » and then was a homemaker for 25 years; until her employment as a receptionist for the Carroll County Times for 17 years, retiring in 2003. Carolyn enjoyed crossword puzzles and reading, as well as watching TV.

She enjoyed get togethers with family and friends and trips to Lancaster, PA. In her younger years she enjoyed roller skating and fishing. Surviving her is brother and sister-in-law Lewis Grant and Jeanne Shaffer of Millsboro, DE; nephew Michael G. Shaffer; nephew Scott A. Shaffer and special companion Karole Ponsness; great niece Taylor Nicole Shaffer; great nephew Grant Michael Shaffer; close friends Pamela and Kenny Martin, Lydia Korman, Ruby Fowble, Paul and Kitty Shaffer, Arlene Fowble, Gertrude Carr; as well as many other beloved friends and family.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, November 13, 2018 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 pm at Pritts Funeral Home & Chapel, 412 Washington Rd. , Westminster. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, November 14, 2018 at 11:00 am at the funeral home.

Interment will be held in Kriders United Church of Christ Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made in her name to Mt. Zion United Methodist Church Cemetery Fund, 3800 Blackrock Rd.
