Catherine Washam Childersburg, AL- Catherine Washam, 93, put on her wings Monday, April 16, 2018 and flew directly to heaven, picking up no hitch hikers along the way. She is now reunited with her loving, late husband, John Washam. She was raised in Sylacauga and was a long-time resident of Childersburg (Grove Park).

Catherine will be remembered for her zest for life, annual Christmas parties, weekends at the lake, and her unconditional love for her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Catherine leaves behind her children, Patricia (David) Liveoak and Jack (Susan) Washam; grandchildren, Cory Harrell, JD (Kimberly) Liveoak, Luke (Meghan) Liveoak, and Kathryn Washam; along with several great-grandchildren. Visitation for Mrs. Catherine Washam will be held on Saturday, April 21, 2018 from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at Radney-Smith Funeral Home.

A Memorial Service will immediately follow at 11:00 a.m. in the Radney-Smith Chapel with Rev. Stephen McWhorter officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to United Methodist Children’s Home or St. Mary’s Episcopal Church in Childersburg.
