Lipsey Gaffney, SC – Catherine “Lucille” Price Lipsey, 75, of 101 Park Court, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, January 8, 2019 at Magnolias of Gaffney. Born in Charleston on October 21, 1943, she was the widow of the late Douglas Eugene Lipsey and daughter of the late Leonard Price and Bessie Mae Blackwell Price. She attended Cherokee County Public Schools, graduated from Gaffney Senior High School in 1961 and retired from Cherokee Landscaping and Grading.

She was an avid Gaffney Indian and USC Gamecock football fan, loved camping, taking cruises and her favorite vacation spot was Hawaii. She was a member of Faith Baptist Church in Shelby, NC. Lucille is survived by a daughter, Cathy Farish and husband Vic of Myrtle Beach, SC; two grandchildren, Victoria Farish Weiss and husband Wallace of Lexington, SC and Andrew W. Farish of Charleston, SC; a brother Earl Coyle and wife, Estelline; brothers-in-law, Elbert Lipsey, Jr. and wife Betty Gail, Levon Lipsey and wife Peggy, Terry Lipsey and wife, Cheryl; and a number of nieces, nephews and cousins.

Lucille leaves behind a special friend Bobbi Price whom she considered her sister and spent many hours visiting and talking with. Lucille also leaves behind her caregiver Allison Ellis. Allison spent countless hours taking care of Lucille and the family is forever grateful.

The family will receive friends from 10:30 AM until 11:30 AM on Saturday, January 12, 2019 at Blakely Funeral Home. Funeral services will immediately follow at 11:30 AM in the Blakely Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Lee V. Coyle and Dr. Barry Goodman officiating.

Interment will be in Frederick Memorial Gardens. The family will be at their respective homes. An online guest register is available at www.
