Cathy Woodruff, age 62, passed away on Monday, May 7, surrounded by her loving family. Born on April 19, 1956 in Columbus, OH, to the late James G. Gilmore III and Carole J. Gilmore. She was a 1974 graduate of Bishop Hartley High School and a member of Holy Spirit Catholic Church.

Cathy was tireless in her efforts helping others and her community; providing care for children, families, and elderly throughout her life. She found joy in spending time with her family, particularly with those who called her Grammy. She is survived by her devoted husband, Newell “Woody” Woodruff; sons, Zachary (Jessica) Woodruff, Adam (Carey) Woodruff, Patrick Woodruff; grandchildren, Jacob, Jackson, Emily, and Connor Woodruff; siblings, James G. (Anne) Gilmore IV, Robert Gilmore, Joan (Michael) Mott, Chris (Ken) Brengartner; and many nieces, nephews and dear friends.

Friends may call Thursday 4-7 p.m. at EGAN-RYAN FUNERAL HOME, 403 E. BROAD ST. Mass of Christian Burial will be Friday 10:00 a.m. at Holy Spirit Church, 4383 E. Broad St. Burial St. Joseph Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Children’s Fund of Franklin County.

Children’s Services or St. Vincent de Paul Society.
