Obituary for Ella Marie Thompson Ella Marie “Ellie Mae” Thompson, age 63, passed away Saturday, May 5, 2018 at Riverside Hospital. Born August 25, 1954 to Russell and Billie (ton) Cox in Adelphia, OH. Ella was the owner/operator of Shades Good Food on S. High St. for 25 years.

She was preceded in death by husband, Don Thompson; parents, Russell Cox, Billie Cox Fee; stepfather, Fred H. Fee; siblings, Daniel Phillips, Chris Ross, and her beloved brother, Tommy Cox. Survived by siblings, David (Cheri) Phillips, Bonnie (Jerry) Williams, Sue (Roger) Congrove, Cheryl (Peewee) Thompson, and Sally (Dave) Smith; special nephew, Brandon (Jennifer) Cox; stepdaughters, Wendy Thompson and Kristi (Mike) Matoszkia; special friends, Porky and Alice Speakman, Jack and Peggy Schaffer, and Perry from Shade’s Restaurant; neighbors, Scott and Lori Clark, and her little buddy, Mason; numerous nieces, nephews, friends, and customers. Special Thank You to the Berger Hospital ICU Team and Riverside ICU, especially Anna RN and Dr. May.

Friends may call Friday, May 11, 2018 from 5 until time of funeral service at 7 p.m. at the O.R. WOODYARD CO. South Chapel, 1346 S. High St. in Columbus. Pastor James Vandagriff officiating.
