Charity Dawn Harman , April 16, 1973 — November 11, 2018

Charity Dawn Harman, 45, of Taneytown, Maryland passed away Sunday, November 11, 2018, at her home. She was the beloved wife of David Harman and mother to Tyler Harman. Charity was born April 16, 1973, in Cumberland, Maryland, to Cheryl Darlene Bloom of Littlestown, PA and the late Coston V. Charity will also be greatly missed by her in-laws, Sam and Rocklyn Harman of Taneytown, MD. Charity graduated from Westminster High School in 1991. She was employed at Carroll Hospital for 22 years.

She began her career as an SPD Technician then as an Operating Room Technician and finally as a Distribution Supervisor. She was recognized as a stellar employee with a strong work ethic. Charity’s hobbies included basket collecting, scrapbooking, hunting, and photography.

She loved her dogs, Holley and Shaker and enjoyed raising chickens. She also gave to numerous charities and was always willing to help others when they were in need. Her family will host a celebration of Charity’s life on Saturday, November 17, 2018, at Pritts Funeral Home and Chapel, 412 Washington Road, Westminster, MD from 1:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions be made to the Vietnam Veterans of America, 8719 Colesville Road, Suite 100, Silver Spring, MD, 20910 or online at vva.org/donate/ or to the Carroll Hospital Foundation, 200 Memorial Avenue, Westminster, MD, 21157 or online at carrollhospitalcenter.org/about-foundation.
