Obituary for Charles Duane Burgess Charles Duane Burgess, 36, of Marion, passed away on Wednesday, February 6, 2019 at his residence. Duane was born March 5, 1982 in San Jose, Costa Rica. He was adopted and raised by his parents, Ned and Evelyn (Wheatley) Burgess.

He married Randa Blades on January 12, 2007. Duane was employed by Xylem Pump Rental and Sales in Carterville for several years. He enjoyed welding, hiking and photography.

He especially enjoyed spending time with his children. Duane is survived by his wife Randa Burgess of Marion; children, Sophie, Devlin, Liam & Mila Burgess; mother, Evelyn Burgess of Marion; sister, Molly Burgess of Spillertown; two nephews, Bryan Burgess and Oren Cagle; in-laws, Randy and Penny Blades of West Frankfort and Cheryl & Terry Epplin of Pinckneyville. He was preceded in death by his father and a nephew, Malachay Cagle.

Funeral services will be 7:00 p.m., Sunday, February 10, 2019 at Pyle Funeral Home in Johnston City with the eulogy given by his family. Visitation will be 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Sunday at the funeral home. Pyle Funeral Home in Johnston City is entrusted with the arrangements.
