Obituary for Charles “Mike” H Krueger Krueger, Charles “Mike”, age 79, of Dayton, passed away Friday, July 27th, 2018. He was born June 5th, 1939 to Mildred (Breamer) and Charles Krueger. Mike earned PhD in Electrical Engineering from Ohio State University.
Before retiring, he was employed as a Branch Chief at Wright Patterson Air Force Base. He was preceded in death by his his parents, sister Patricia Krueger Foster, brother James H. Krueger, and brothers-in-law Bert Walker and Jerry Foster. Mike is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Joyce (White) Krueger; two daughters, Cynthia Patricia McNamee (Michael) and Julia Catherine Schrodi (Don), both of Sugarcreek Township; seven grandchildren, Vitoria, Charles Huston, Nolan, Erin (George), Robert, Michael, and Daniel; four great-grandchildren, Lucas, Cormac, Declan and Tadhg; sister, Catherine Walker of Huntsville, Tennessee; and sister-in-law, Kathy G. Krueger of Johnsons Island.
We are extremely thankful for the exceptional and compassionate caregivers who have enabled our family the freedom to continue enjoying our lives together over the past couple of years. Mike was greatly admired among his family and friends and very active in his life. He enjoyed raquetball, traveling, and woodworking, as well as ping-pong and tennis.
He was an active member of Westminster Presbyterian Church in Dayton, where he served as an elder, trustee, and on various other boards and committees. He was an Eagle Scout and a member of the Association of Old Crows, served on the Springboro Zoning Committee and the Trotwood-Madison School Board. You are invited to Mike’s life celebration beginning with the visitation on Saturday, August 4th from 12:00 pm (noon) until time of the Service of Witness to the Resurrection at 1:00 pm at Westminster Presbyterian Church, 125 N. Wilkinson St., Dayton.
