2nd Lt. Charles Ray Coleman, USAR, Retired age 71, passed away Sunday, October 28, 2018. Charlie was born July 17, 1947 in Franklin, PA to the late Joseph Coleman and Grace Irene Bimber Coleman.

He honorably served his country with 29 years of service in the US Army Reserves, Department of Defense as a unit administrator. Charlie also retired after 20 years of service with Joy Mining Manufacturing as a senior time and motion analyst. He was a member of the Wake County Sheriff’s Association, American Legion, Triangle Travelers for Jesus and V.F.W. A service to celebrate his life will be held 10:00 am, Thursday, November 1, 2018 at Church of the Apostles, 333 Church at North Hills Street, Raleigh, 27609 officiating Reverend Patrick Dominguez and Reverend Dr. Adrian Dixon and full Military Honors.

Surviving wife of 35 years, Susan Schweitzer Coleman; daughters: Kristina Marie C. Teifer of Oil City, PA, Brenda Sue C. Busch of Franklin, PA, Shoshannah S. Dixon (Adrian) of Raleigh; grandchildren: Harper Leigh Dixon, Coleman “Cole” Lee Dixon, Graham Steven Dixon, Johnathan Busch (Megan). The family has asked that memorial contributions be made to American Red Cross for Military Families, P.O.
