Charles’ Obituary Charles Robinson, 76, of Austin, IN, passed away at 10:05 AM on Monday, January 21, 2019 at his home. Born May 8, 1942 in Jackson, KY, he was the son Knowah and Polly (Cox) Robinson, who are both deceased. On January 6, 1962 he married Katheryn (Blaylock) Robinson in Scottsburg, IN, who survives in Austin, IN.

Charles started his career at the age of 16 at Morgan Foods and then worked as a lineman for the telephone company before moving onto his lifelong career of construction, building bridges, and retiring in 1990. He was of Pentecostal faith, loved serving the Lord, playing music, the guitar, mandolin and singing in church. He spent the majority of his life, loving his wife, children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.

Survivors include his loving wife of 57 years, Katheryn Robinson, 5 children, Larry (Eva) Robinson of Scottsburg, IN, Lynn (Shirell) Robinson of Austin, IN, Kathy (Steve) Manthei of Seymour, IN, Rob (Andrea) Robinson of Louisville, KY, and Mark Robinson of Scottsburg, IN, 7 grandchildren, Lily Robinson, Charlie Robinson, Justin (Staci) Robinson, Heather (Corry) Collier, Dwayne Manthei, Ryan (Stephanie) Manthei, Stephanie (Dereck) Snelling, 8 great grandchildren, siblings, Lonnie (Diana) Robinson of Crossville, TN, Dennis (Sherry) Robinson of Vine Grove, KY, Beulah Smith of Austin, IN, Jeanette (Ernest) Pedigo of Scottsburg, IN. He was preceded in death by 2 brothers, Cletus Robinson & Luther Robinson, and 1sister, Omah Cox. Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 PM on Thursday, January 24, 2019 at Adams Family Funeral Home & Crematory in Scottsburg with burial to follow at Wesley Chapel Cemetery.

Visitation is Thursday, from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM at Adams Family Funeral Home & Crematory in Scottsburg. Memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital c/o Adams Family Funeral Home & Crematory, 138 Westavia Blvd. , Scottsburg, IN 47170.
