Elizabeth’s Obituary Elizabeth Jennie Maya, of New Albany, IN, 38, passed away at 1:23 PM, Sunday, February 10, 2019 at Baptist Health Floyd with her family surrounding her. The woman, the myth, the legend, the superhero Elizabeth Jenny Maya would like you know that her work here is done. She received a call, a sort of an offer you can’t refuse, for an appointment from which she will not be returning.

This assignment comes with a huge sign-on bonus, a reunion with family and friends she has not seen in a long time. Job security is exactly 110 percent. Her new mission takes her to a wonderful place where there is only happiness and joy.

Elizabeth was born June 18, 1980 in Lincoln, IL. She was the daughter of the late Albert Harold Maya I, the late Ronald Wesley Benson, and Karen Gail (Richard) Napier of New Albany, IN. Elizabeth was a 1998 graduate of Ohio County High School and worked as a supervisor at GE.

Elizabeth’s greatest pride and joy in her life were her children and grandbabies. Other survivors include her 2 daughters, Ronnye Elizabeth Maya of New Albany, IN, Raynna RaShae (Cameron) of Payneville, KY, 1 son, Chance Maya-Davis of Clarkson, KY, 4 grandchildren, Cicialee, Syrus, Ensley, and Colsyn, siblings, Albert Harold (Ashley) Maya II of Clarksville, IN, Benjamin Ignacio Maya of Homer, IL, Andrew Maya of Glendale, AZ, Adam Maya of Glendale, AZ, Aaron Maya of Glendale, AZ, Anthony Maya of Glendale, AZ, Richard Napier of New Albany, IN, Kimberly Napier of West Palm Beach, Fl, Felicia (Brian) Hardesty of Owensboro, KY, grandmother, Jennie Maya of Glendale, AZ. She was also preceded in death by a grandparents, Tony Maya, Elbert & Hallie Blanchard, and Hubert Leach.

A celebration of life gathering will be held in honor of Elizabeth on Saturday, February 23, 2019 from 1:00 PM until 5:00 PM at the Ohio County Senior Citizens Building, 2320 HWY 69, Hartford, KY 42347. The family requests expressions of sympathy in lieu of flowers be given to the family c/o Adams Family Funeral Home and Crematory, 209 S. Ferguson, St., Henryville, IN 47126.
