Obituary for Charles W. Hosan III Charles W. Hosan, III, 71, of Hershey, passed away Friday, November 9, 2018, at the M. S. Hershey Medical Center with his loving family by his side. Born on August 16, 1947, in Harrisburg, he was the son of the late Charles W., Jr., and Jean Chenoweth Hosan. Charlie was the owner of Charlie’s Collectors’ Corner, Hummelstown.

He was an U.S. Army veteran having served in the Vietnam War. Charlie was a 1965 graduate of Cedar Cliff High School, and received his Bachelor’s from Messiah College, Mechanicsburg. He enjoyed collecting, watching sports, and was an avid New England Patriots fan.

He loved going to Hershey High School baseball games and was well known for passing out root beer barrel candies to everyone in attendance. Without a doubt, Hershey Baseball lost one of its biggest fans with Charlie’s passing. He is survived by his wife, Paulette (Behofcist); one daughter, Bridgett West of Hershey; two sons, Lawrence Pinko, Sr. of Harrisburg, and Charles W. Hosan, IV; four grandchildren, Jairet West, Steven Solt, Lawrence Pinko, Jr., and Ellie Pinko; his mother-in-law, Anna M. Behofcist of Harrisburg; and his feline companion, Kobe.

Services for Charlie will be private. Trefz & Bowser Funeral Home, Inc. 114 West Main Street, Hummelstown, is handling the arrangements. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Hershey Volunteer Fire Department, 21 West Caracas Avenue, Hershey, PA 17033; or simply do a kind act for someone, spend time with your family, or go and enjoy a Hershey baseball game.
