Charlye Taleene Kenimer Christy, age 74, of Old Fort, North Carolina, while surrounded by her loving family, departed to be with the Lord on Tuesday, November 13, 2018 at her residence. The daughter of the late Talmon and Alice Wall Kenimer, she was born in Statesville, North Carolina on August 25, 1944. A loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister, Charlye was an avid antique dealer and researcher.

She had an interest in American history, especially if it pertained to pre and revolutionary era. Left to cherish her memories are her loving and devoted husband of 42 years, Edward Christy of the home; two daughters, Andrea D. Watson (Geoffrey) of Buford, Georgia and Courtenay Christy of Old Fort; one sister, M. Jane Payne (Eddie) of Clarkesville, Georgia; and three precious grandchildren, Chelsea, Jordan and Charli. A celebration of Charlye’s life will be held at a later date.
