Cherri Eileen Mead, 41, of North Vernon passed away at 11:00 p.m. on Sunday, July 8, 2018, at her residence. Born August 14, 1976, in Jackson County, she was the daughter of Marvin Reynolds Sr. and Brenda Jones Schneider. She married Rodney Mead on June 29, 2001, in Jennings County; he survives.

Mrs. Mead was a graduate of Seymour High School and had an Associate Degree in Medical Science. She worked for Centerstone as a Behavioral Tech for five years and had previously worked for DSI (Developmental Services Inc.) for ten years and Lowes Distribution for two years. She was affiliated with Queensville Community Church.

Mrs. Mead enjoyed painting landscapes, jazz and alternative music, loved the ocean and waterfalls, traveling, cruising the backroads and spending time with family. Surviving with her husband Rodney are daughters, Danielle (Daniel) Hess of Indianapolis, Samantha Jackson and Zoe (Dakota Gaines) Mead both of Scipio and Savannah (Josh) Brickson of Uniontown; parents, Marvin (Sue) Reynolds Sr., of Butlerville and Brenda (Ron Ashburn) Schneider of Scipio; sister, Sabrena Baker of Scipio; and eight grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her step-father, James Schneider.

A Funeral service for Mrs. Mead will be conducted at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 11, 2018, at the Dove-Sharp & Rudicel Funeral Home and Cremation Services in North Vernon. Visitation will be on Wednesday, July 11, 2018 at the funeral home from 4:00 p.m. until time of service. Memorials may be made through the funeral home for expenses.
