Obituary for Cheryl Ann Katona Cheryl Ann Katona, 67, of Morganton, NC, passed away on July 22, 2018. Cheryl was born July 25, 1950, in Bridgeport, CT to the late Steve and Susan Hrapchak. She resided in Connecticut until moving to Florida in 1995; and only recently had moved to North Carolina.

Cheryl graduated from Notre Dame High School in Fairfield, CT and attended Eckerd College in St. Petersburg, FL where she earned her Bachelor’s degree. She spent her working time as an executive assistant for various V.P.’s with GE Capital and Tech Data Corp. Away from work, Cheryl loved to teach Sunday school and spend time with her family.

She will be remembered by all as a kind, gentle, loving, caring, and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and friend. Cheryl is survived by her husband of 17 years Paul; her children Mark and Lesley; grandchildren Elizabeth, Samantha, Jessica and Mark; and pets Cody and Mia. A visitation will be held on Friday, July 27, 2018 from 11:00 – 11:45 at Doolittle Funeral Home, 14 Old Church St, Middletown, CT 06457, with a graveside service to follow at Connecticut State Veterans Cemetery, 317 Bow Ln.
