He was born on December 28, 1965 in Rising Sun, Maryland, the son of the late John William and Mary Ann Perry Houston. Survivors include his loving wife of 25 years, Ranae Gregory Houston; four children: Chester L. Houston and wife, Michelle, William J. Houston and wife, Tiffany, Roy M. Houston companion, Delaina, and Katlin C. Houston and companion, Cody all of Buckhannon; two grandchildren: Emily L. Houston and Calla O. Forry; three sisters: Wilma Chackan of Acme, PA, Mary Agnes Kelley and companion, Todd, of Buckhannon, and Tracy Dean Lane and husband, Matthew, of Walkersville; two brothers: William Gene Houston and wife, Cathy, of Phoenix City, AL, and Ricky Wayne Houston of Buckhannon.

In addition to his parents, Chester was preceded in death by two sisters: Betty Salazer and Alyce Trenz; and both his maternal and paternal grandparents. Most recently, Chester worked as a driver for Pizza Hut. He was formerly employed in furniture moving and as a repo man.

Chester really enjoyed the adventure of random road trips. One never knew where the winding roads of Almost Heaven would take him. When it came to sports, Chester loved football.

His favorite teams were WVU Mountaineers and Dallas Cowboys. Chester was a true people person and his best times were spent with his family and friends. Chester’s request for cremation has been honored and a Celebration of Life Service will be held at 12:00 noon on Saturday, November 10, 2018 at the Calvary Baptist Church with Pastor Michael Tallman officiating.
