Christine’s Obituary Christine Edwards Maree, 79, of Rockingham, passed away Thursday, January 24, 2019 at UNC Hospital in Chapel Hill. Mrs. Maree was born August 20, 1939 in Richmond County, the daughter of the late Leo and Lucille Clark Edwards. She had retired from Glenwood Rest Home in Rockingham.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Michael J. Benoist and a brother, Leonard Edwards. Surviving are her husband, Allen Maree of the home; daughter, Tina Medlin (Danny) of Charlotte; 4 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren and stepchildren, Linda Levine of Wadesboro, Gaye York of Rockingham and Elli Tarbell of Colorado. Funeral services will be at 2 pm Sunday at Carter Funeral Home in Rockingham with Rev.

Joe B. Wilkes, Jr. officiating. Entombment will follow in the Richmond County Memorial Park Mausoleum. The family will see friends from 12:45 – 1:45pm Sunday at the funeral home and at other times at the home.
