Christopher F. Kenny, 71, of Bethlehem Township, PA, passed away Thursday, October 18, 2018 at his home. Born April 1, 1947, in Elizabeth, NJ, he was a son of the late Edmund and Irene (Maieran) Kenny. Christopher graduated from Middle County Vocational & Technical High School.

He retired from the Bradenton Herald newspaper, Florida. Previously, he was employed by The Express-Times for over 10 years. Christopher served with the US Air Force during the Vietnam War.

Surviving are two sons, Christopher Kenny, Jr., of Wake Forest, NC and John Kenny and his wife Corrina, of Lehighton; three daughters, Lisa Kenny, of Buies Creek, NC, Christina Kirchgassner and her husband Peter, of Bethlehem Township, PA and Stacey Mikulecky and her husband Lewis, of Charlton, MA; a step-son, Antonio Mercado and his wife Laurie, of Harleysville; a step-daughter, Lori Diaz, of Orlando, FL; two brothers, Daniel Kenny, of Bethlehem Township and William “Bill” Kenny, of Auburn, PA; two sisters, Marianne LeRose and Lois Engle, both of Stewartsville, NJ; ten grandchildren, Amy, Brittany, Johnathan, Lexi, Austin, Joseph, Nick, Bryce, L.J. and Nicolaus and a step-grandchild, Alex. Graveside Services will be held at 1pm Wednesday in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Indiantown Gap Road, Annville, PA. Arrangements are by the Strunk Funeral Home, Inc., Wilson Borough.
