After graduating from Herbert Hoover High School in 1978, she went to work for the State of West Virginia at the Division of Human Services.

Her illness forced her to retire this past January with thirty-nine years of service with the State of West Virginia. Cindy loved her family and enjoyed the years her children were involved in athletics and other activities.

Along the way she made many special friends and the memories of those days were of much comfort in her final days. Cindy also adored her two grandsons and enjoyed them very much even through her illness. Cindy’s battle with oral cancer caused unimaginable pain and suffering, but she handled it with great courage and dignity.

Along her journey, she encountered many wonderful, caring physicians and nurses who did their best to provide as much comfort and care as possible. In her final days, the nurses at the Hubbard House provided her with great care, comfort and compassion. The family appreciates all of them greatly.
