Clairmont Icky Clymer, September 14, 1927 — December 26, 2018

Obituary for Clairmont “Icky” Clymer Clairmont “Icky” Clymer, 91, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, December 26, 2018. A lifelong resident of Delaware Park in Phillipsburg, Icky was the son of the late Wilbur and Pearl (Angst) Clymer. He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Joan (Brotzman) Clymer as well as daughter Eileen Schwab and her husband Ray, and son Timothy Clymer and his wife Georgette.

He was predeceased by son, Gregory. Icky is also survived by his six beloved grandchildren, Connie Schwab Hoch and her husband, Bryan; Ray, Griffin and Brian Schwab and his wife Joanna; Justin Clymer and his wife Janine; and Ryan Clymer and his partner Janay Montgomery in addition to three great grandchildren Penny, Maddie and Nash. Icky is also survived by his sister, Pearl Cramer and many nieces and nephews.

Icky graduated from Phillipsburg High School in 1948, served in the United States Navy, and worked for JCP&L until his retirement. He was a member of Pilgrim Presbyterian Church, Past Master of Phillipsburg Masonic Lodge No. 52, Past Cub Scout Master of Pack 54, a member of the Lopatcong Twp Exempt Firemen’s Assoc, Tall Cedars of Warren County and Sunny Seniors in Phillipsburg.

Icky was also active in Meals on Wheels and volunteered at Warren Hospital for more than 20 years. A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, December 28, 2018 at 2pm at Pilgrim Presbyterian Church, 750 Belvidere Rd. Phillipsburg, NJ.

Visitation for family and friends will be held prior to the service from 1pm until service time at the church. Interment will be in Fairmount Cemetery in Phillipsburg, N.J. Online condolences may be submitted to www. rupellfuneralhome.com.
