Obituary for Robert A. Wyker Robert (Bob) A. Wyker, 90, passed away peacefully on Saturday, December 15, 2018 at his home in Phillipsburg. Bob was born in Easton, PA on March 17, 1928 to the late Carl and Mildred (Bittner) Wyker, and was married for 69 years to the love of his life, Jeanne (Lowe) Wyker. Bob was an electrician at Ingersoll-Rand, retiring in 1990.
He was a graduate of Phillipsburg High School, Class of 1946. Bob was very active in the community. He was a member and former Elder at Pilgrim Presbyterian Church, a member of Phillipsburg Lodge #52, F&AM, and a member of the Tall Cedars of Lebanon, Warren County Forest #14.
He formerly served on the Board of Directors of the Fairmount Cemetery and, also, on the board of Meals on Wheels. Bob was a member of “The Clambake Gang”, the Ranger Marching Unit, Sunny Seniors and the AARP. Along with his wife, Bob is also survived by his daughters Barbara Wyker and her companion Michael Wilbert and Patricia Schoenholtz and her husband Edward, a son Robert A. Wyker, Jr. and his wife Cindy, and much-treasured grandchildren Matthew Schoenholtz and his wife Mary, Vanessa Wyker and Robert J. Wyker.
Also, among survivors, are Bob’s sister-in-law Alice Lowe, many nieces, nephews, and cousins. A Funeral Service for Bob will be held on Wednesday, December 19, 2018 at 11am at the Rupell Funeral Home, LLC; 465 Memorial Parkway; Phillipsburg, NJ 08865. A Visitation of Family and Friends will be held on Tuesday, December 18, 2018 from 6pm to 8pm and on Wednesday, December 19 from 10am until service time, all at the funeral home.
