Hartz, “Peach”, 99 1/2, of West Portal, NJ passed away Friday, January 18, 2019 in Hunterdon Medical Center. Born July 25, 1919 in the Goose Hill section of Hampton, NJ she was the daughter of the late Theodore and Charlotte (Dougherty) Friedhof. Her husband, G. Victor, died June 2, 2006.

She was a homemaker. She loved cooking, crafting, needlepoint, wild flowers, making soup and crossword puzzles. Beatrice is survived by two sons Gerald of Broadway, NJ and Kenneth and wife, Vivian, of Weed, CA; Richard Hummer, whom she raised and was like a son to her; five grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Her nine siblings all predeceased her. Funeral services will be held Friday, January 25, 2019 at 11 a.m. in the funeral home. Visitation will be held Friday from 10 a.m. to time of services in the funeral home.

Burial will be in Northampton Memorial Shrine in Palmer Township.
