Obituary for Ruth E. Heins Ruth E. Heins, 94, of Macungie, PA, formerly of Phillipsburg, NJ passed away on Saturday, December 1, 2018 at Genesis HealthCare-Lehigh Center in Macungie. Ruth was born in Phillipsburg, NJ on June 27, 1924 to the late Herman E. and Anna L.M. Frankenfield Lawton. Upon completion of high school, Ruth went to work at J.T Baker Chemical Co. in Phillipsburg.
During the war, she was employed with Taylor-Wharton. After her children had grown, Ruth became a Transcriptionists. She was employed with numerous doctors and facilities in the Phillipsburg area, to include Warren Hospital Radiology department, Dr. Boquist and Dr. Luancing.
Ruth was a graduate of Phillipsburg High School, Class of 1941. She was artistic and enjoyed painting, colored pencil art, sewing, crocheting, and all types of crafts. Ruth also enjoyed researching Frankenfield genealogy.
Ruth was, at one time, a member of Grace Lutheran Church in Phillipsburg, where she taught Sunday school. Ruth is survived by a daughter, Marcia Rippke and her husband, Robert of Macungie; grandchildren, Ian Rippke and his wife, Kristie; Jennifer Marstellar and her husband, David; and Andrea Vernon; great-grandchildren, Hannah Marstellar, Louie Marstellar, Rachel Rippke, Julia Rippke; nephews, Charles and Thomas Price, and David Jones. Ruth was predeceased by her husband William Heins; daughter, Debra Rittenhouse; sisters, June Price and Vesta Jones.
A Funeral Service for Ruth will be held on Saturday, December 8, 2018 at 11am at the Rupell Funeral Home, LLC; 465 Memorial Parkway; Phillipsburg, NJ 08865. A Visitation of Family and Friends will be held from 10am until service time at the funeral home. Interment will be in St. Philip and St. James Catholic Cemetery.
