Jeanan Anderson, age 94, of Mankato passed away peacefully early Saturday morning, October 6, 2018 at her home at New Perspective Senior Living-Mankato. Family services and burial will be private. There is no visitation.

Woodland Hills Funeral Home is assisting with arrangements. Jeanan was born on September 25, 1924 in Spring Grove, MN to Carl and Clara (Bersie) Ramlo where she became the youngest of 10 children. She graduated from Mable High School in 1942 where she was a member of GAA & National Honor Society.

She was a cheerleader, tap dancer, played clarinet and saxophone. She also learned shorthand. After high school she was a nurse in training for WWII and earned her Registered Nurse Degree.

She married Lyle E. Anderson June 15, 1946. Jeanan spent many years as a nurse at Continental Can Co-Mankato and finished her career as a nurse at Kraft Foods-New Ulm. She was a member of Sweet Adelines-Mankato and Bethlehem Lutheran Church for many years.

Jeanan enjoyed traveling, fishing, watching birds, wildlife, outdoors and family. Her family enjoyed and will cherish all the stories she shared with them over the years. She is survived by daughters, Marcia Fischer of Mankato and Laurie (Chuck) Fairbanks of Columbus, OH; son, Kim (Cheri) Anderson of Mankato; 5 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and her 9 siblings.
