Clara R. Rodgers (nee Jordan) Age 91, Passed away on Sunday, January 20, 2019 in Utica, Michigan. Born on Wednesday, September 21, 1927 to the late Manley and Clara (nee Marotz) Jordan. A 1945 graduate of Mount Clemens High School.

She married the love of her life Edward P. Rodgers on April 28, 1951 in Mount Clemens, Michigan and celebrated 43 years of marriage prior to his passing. Clara worked for many years for the Utica Community Schools in food service until her retirement in 1990. Retirement would not stop Clara she would continue to work by spending her time at the American Legion Post 351 in Utica working Bingo on Sunday’s and Wednesday.

An avid Detroit Tigers Fan, she loved going to the casino, especially playing the slots. Her family was the most important part of her life, she loved being a grandma and spending time with all of the them. Beloved wife of the late Edward P. Rodgers.

Loving mother of Nancy (John) Knox, Mark Rodgers, and Janet (Ron) Roeber. Proud grandmother of 7 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren, one great-grandchild on the way and one predeceased great-grandchildren. Dear sister of Joann (the late Carl) Stange, and Fred (Marilyn) Jordan.

Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Visitation at the Wm Sullivan and Son Funeral Home 8459 Hall Road (3 Blks E. of Van Dyke) Utica Thursday 2-8pm Instate Friday 10:00am at Trinity Lutheran Church 45160 Van Dyke (@ Hall Rd) Utica until time of services 11am. Interment Cadillac Memorial Gardens East Cemetery Clinton Township, Michigan Family request donations to Trinity Lutheran Church for the Win Graebner Scholarship Fund.
