Funeral services for Clifford L. Juracek, 75, of Norfolk will be 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, November 27, 2018, at St. mary’s Catholic Church, Norfolk: Reverend Stan Schmit will be the celebrant. Burial will be in Hillcrest Memorial Park Cemetery, Norfolk. Visitation will be Monday from 4-7 p.m. at Home for Funerals Chapel 708 Georgia Ave, Norfolk, Nebraska.
Clifford died Friday, November 23, 2018 at his home. Clifford Leon Juracek was born December 28, 1942 to Rudie and Marcella (Sehi) Juracek in rural Clearwater, Nebraska. He attended Ewing Public School all 12 years.
He graduated in 1961 and then attended Norfolk Junior College. On November 24, 1962 he wed Garnett Kay Gillogly at St. Peters Catholic church in Ewing, Nebraska. They were blessed with five children Peggy, Bradley, Tracy, Jeanie, and Gregory.
They lived in Norfolk two years where he worked at General Wholesale, then moved to Ewing for two years and worked at Juracek Dairy Farm. In 1965 he started working for Hayes Bros. Pepsi Cola in Norfolk.
He was a route driver there for 17 years. He played on the Norfolk basketball town team, their highlight was playing against the Famed Harlem Globetrotters. In 1982 he and his wife purchased the Office Bar, which they operated until 2007.
He always said he had the best patrons and great employees. He played on the Office Bar shuffleboard team until his stroke in 2004. He enjoyed his many trips to Las Vegas, fishing in Alaska, Key West, and his gambling trips with his cronies Terry and Bob.
He really liked spending time at the cabin. He was good at gardening, dancing and playing cards. He is survived by his wife, four children, Brad of Lincoln, Tracy and Jeanie of Omaha, and Greg of Norfolk.
Daughter in law Roxanne (Rocky) of Lincoln. Five grandsons, Nick, Jake, Sam, Luke and Brady. Five granddaughters Michaela, Brooke, Courtney, Ally and Macy.
Six great grandchildren Braylon, Kellen, Grayson, Alice, Sophie and Olivia. Aunt Marge Kurtenbock, Sister Linda Thelen, two sisters in law, Myra Juracek and Marceline McLean, brother in law Lyle (Frances) Gillogly. Nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was proceeded in death by daughter Peggy in 1987, parents, Brother Larry. Parent in laws Glenn and Opal Gillogly. Brothers in laws Robert, Gene, James, and Tom Gillogly.
One sister in law Patsy Coventry. May he rest in peace. In lieu of flowers the family requests memorials to the family to be designated at a later time.
