Funeral Services for Tamie L. Sovereign, 60, Norfolk, will be 11:00 a.m., Saturday, November 17, 2018 at Grace Lutheran Church in Norfolk. Reverend Ray Wilke will officiate. Burial will be in Alberry Cemetery.

Visitation will begin Saturday after 9:00 a.m. at the church. Home for Funerals is in charge of arrangements. She passed away Tuesday, November 13, 2018 at the Community Pride Care Center in Battle Creek.

Tamie Lu was born October 25, 1958 to her parents Gordon and Shirley (Roth) Elkins in Norfolk, Nebraska. She graduated from Norfolk Senior High School in 1977. On February 17, 1987, Tamie married Steven Sovereign at Grace Lutheran Church in Norfolk.

For over 20 years, Tamie served as a financial aid advisor at Northeast Community College in Norfolk. She enjoyed crocheting, shopping, and flower gardening. Tamie is survived by her husband, children Shannon (Jill) Sovereign of Stanton, Jennifer Wheeler of Richmond, VA, Katie Baldwin of Omaha, Jill (Tim) Smith of Norfolk, and Libby Sovereign of Sioux City, IA, grandchildren Ethan, CeCe, Ty, Cara, Luci, Layla, Alyssa, Walker, Emery, and River, sisters Sheryl Kyriss of Norfolk, Carol (Roger) Zoubek of Norfolk, and Annette (Duane) Gubbels of Osmond, and nieces and nephews.
