Colleen (Guest) Murtaza, 77, of Jeannette, died Monday, July 2, 2018, in Mercy Hospital. She was born March 27, 1941, in Pearson, Ga. , a daughter of the late Huerita Lee and Lucille Cooper Guest.

She was a member of the First Antioch Baptist Church in Greensburg and enjoyed working with the Culinary Ministry. She was an avid cook and baker, and everyone loved her famous “biscuits”. Colleen also loved to bowl and was a very gifted seamstress, working for a while at Annette’s Fashions.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Jamal Murtaza, in 2007; and two brothers, Edward and Robert Guest. She is survived by two sons, Alan Murtaza, of Irwin, and Dion Amos (Anja), of Germany; three daughters, Majeeda “Gigi” Murtaza, of Richmond, Va. , Aliyya Lee, of Braddock, and Malika Williams (Rodney), of Jeannette; 10 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; a sister, Connie Craig, of Jeannette; three sisters-in-law, Beverly Guest, of Atlanta, Ga.

, Alima Davis, of Banning, Calif. , and Jean Murtaza, of North Versailles; a special niece, Colleen Austin (Anthony), of Madison Heights, Mich. ; and a host of other nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to celebrate the life of Colleen from 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday at First Antioch Baptist Church, 726 W. Pittsburgh St., Greensburg, PA 15601. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday in the church. Interment will follow in Brush Creek Cemetery, Irwin.

Colleen’s family has entrusted her care to CLEMENT L. PANTALONE FUNERAL HOME INC. , 409 W. Pittsburgh St., Greensburg, PA 15601, 724-837-0020. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Westmoreland County Food Bank, 100 Devonshire Drive, Delmont, PA 15626, and nonperishable items may be brought to the church.
