Colleen Murphy 56 of Donora, passed away peacefully with family by her side on Sunday November 4, 2018 at Mon Valley Care Center, after a courageous year long battle with small cell lung cancer. Born in N. Charleroi on December 13, 1961, a daughter of the late John J. and Dorma Ellis Murphy. Colleen worked as a caregiver for many years and then became a longtime employee at Kentucky Fried Chicken in Belle Vernon until her illness.

She enjoyed gambling, bingo and jigsaw puzzles. Colleen is survived by 3 brothers; Anthony (Johanna) Murphy of Belle Vernon, John (Jessica) Murphy of Donora and Fred Murphy of Monessen, several cousins,nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews including Lisa Murphy of Carroll Twp. , and Danny Murphy of Alamogordo, NM, and very close cousins Patti and Mark Trilli of Donora.

She was preceded in death by her brother Dwayne Murphy, beloved sister Dianne Murphy and her feline companion Spot. Family and friends will be received on Thursday November 8, 2018 at the Melenyzer Funeral Homes & Cremation Services, Inc. 825 Fallowfield Ave. Charleroi from 10:00am-11:00am at which time funeral services will be held with Rev.

Margaret Jo Friedhof presiding. Interment will follow at Belle Vernon Cemetery.
