Curtis King, 65 of Cranks, went home to be with the Lord on January 11, 2019 after a long illness. Curtis was born June 22, 1953 to the late Simon and Claudia Hall King. He was a retired coal miner.

He was an avid turkey hunter, he enjoyed riding in the woods and the company of family and friends. He was a loyal UK basketball fan. Besides his parents he is preceded in death his brothers, Jesse L. King, Simon King, Jr; sister, Janice Grubbs.

He is survived by his sons, Floyd W. (Kim) King and Greg C. (Mary Ann) King; grandchildren, Celeste King and Joshua Robbins; brothers, Floyd H. King, Henry “Pert” King, Sylvester King and Clarence King; sisters, Georgia Ross and Joanna Vandagriff. Visitation will be 5:00 – 8:00 pm Tuesday (Jan. 15) at the Anderson-Laws & Jones Funeral Home.

Graveside services will be 1:00 pm Wednesday (Jan. 16) at the Browning Cemetery, Cranks with Pastor Jesse Kinder officiating. Pallbearers will be family and friends.
