Born December 24, 1928 in Flint Michigan, son of the late Joseph and Stella (Oles) Schober. Dale served in the United States Army at the age of 17, as an infantryman in Europe during WWII.

A resident of Curtis, Michigan for the past 28 years, Dale graduated from Western Michigan University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Secondary Education, the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor with a Masters in Geography, and from Eastern Michigan University with a Masters in Vocational Education. Dale taught for 33 years in Public and Parochial schools and was the Instructor of Autobody Repair at the Genesee Area Skill Center. Dale was a member of the American Federation of Teachers, was a past President of the Lions Club in Curtis, and was a dedicated member of the Catholic Church.

Along with his late wife, Winifred, they owned the Curiosity Shoppe in Curtis, Michigan. His many hobbies included auto body repair, fishing, woodwork, golf, cooking, traveling, and was an avid Detroit sports fan. Above all, Dale was very devoted to his family.

In addition to his parents, Dale is preceded in death by his wife: Winifred (Saum) Schober, Daughter: Anne Liedel, Sister: Barbara Schober, Brothers: Kenneth and Richard Schober. Survivors include Son: Dale (Julie) Schober of Virginia Beach,VA, and Daughters: Mary (Gary) Allen of Fenton MI and Lisa Reiser of Marquette MI. Grandchildren: Jon (Angie) Foley, Erin (Adam) Turner, Anthony (Lily) Schober, Lauren Foley, Scott (Emily) Reiser, Mary Reiser, and Ashley (Hunter) Schober.

Great Grandchildren Stella Turner and Peggy Foley. Visitation for Dale will be on Wednesday March 6, 2019 from 1:00 PM till 2:00 PM at the Beaulieu Funeral Home in Newberry. Services will begin at 2:00 with Father Marty Flynn officiating.
