Dallas’ Obituary Dallas Garrett, 87, of Dunbar passed away on February 3, 2019. Dallas was a fun-loving, quick-witted, God-fearing WVU fan who loved his family beyond measure. He was a retired master electrician and a member of IBEW Local #466 where he taught and mentored in their apprenticeship program.

He also served as a Dunbar city councilman for many years. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Jeanie; parents, Doyle and Madeline Garrett; brother, Don Garrett. Dallas is survived by daughters, Cindy (Stephen) Elkins, Terry Thomas, and Alice King; son, Dallas “Chip” Garrett; grandchildren, Chad (Caitlin) Elkins, Jay (Amanda) Elkins, Emily (PJ) Fenech, Chris (Crystal) Hunt, April Konieczny, Shannon Taylor, Miranda (Patrick) Weldon, Morgan Garrett, Valerie (Jacob) Bailey, Trey (Brittany) King, and Jacob King; and 18 great-grandchildren he adored.

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, February 10, at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar. Friends and family may gather an hour preceding the service.
