Russell’s Obituary Russell Ray Lynch, 79, of Nitro, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, January 30, 2019. He was born on December 4, 1939 in Parkersburg, to the late Harry Ray and Gladys Helen Lynch. Russell was a member of the Nitro Church of Christ.

He really enjoyed working there and will be greatly missed by his church. He was also a U.S. Army Veteran, and retired from the Charleston Housing Authority. He is survived by his loving wife of 31 years, Mary Ann Lynch of Nitro; sons, Rusty Ray Lynch (Pamela) of Mink Shoals, Randall Ray Lynch (Kimberly) of Louisville, KY, and Thomas Clifford Orndorff of Nitro; sisters, Laurel Mae Civitillo (Joe) of Waverly, and Frances Helen Spencer (Arnold) of Coolville, OH; brother, Robert Earl Lynch (Janis) of Washington; four grandchildren; seven nieces and nephews; and his cats, Wee Wee, JJ, and Sandy.

A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Monday February 4, at the Nitro Church of Christ, Nitro, with Pastor Andy Shamblin officiating. Burial will follow in Tyler Mountain Memory Gardens, Cross Lanes. Friends may visit from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday, February 3, at the Nitro Church of Christ, Nitro.

Arrangements are in the care of Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar.
