Obituary for Dana Lucas Dana Lucas, 68 of Verdunville departed this life Saturday June 16, 2018 at his residence. He was born February 25, 1950 at Logan to the late Jim Lucas and Myrtle Adams Lucas. In addition to his parents he was also preceded in death by: his wife, Linda Lucas; nephew Chadd Whitt; and nieces, Sabrina and Theresa Lucas.

Mr. Lucas was a coal miner and a Veteran of the United States Army. Those left to cherish his memory include: his sons, Mike (Dawn) Lucas, Jason (Candy) Lucas, and Stephen Lucas; grandchildren, Jessi Tomblin, Bethany Lucas, Michael Lucas, and Emily Lucas; brother, James Ernest (Peggy) Lucas; sister, Nancy (Mike) Whitt; mother-in-law, Doris Ray; sisters-in-law, Dola (Dave) Oelslager, and Charlotte Mullins; brother-in-law, Roy (Barbara) Wikoff; nieces and nephews, James Lucas , Dave Owens, Danny Owens, Elizabeth Eberhart, Mitch Vanhoose, Jada Wikoff, and Amy Proffitt. Mr. Lucas’ remains are to be cremated.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday June 20, 2018 at Akers-James Funeral Home with Rev. Lonnie Gore officiating. Burial will follow in Highland Memory Gardens at Godby.
