Robert Gene “Bobby” Browning, 70 of Lyburn, WV departed this life on Sunday, October 14, 2018 after a sudden illness. Robert, known by most as Bobby, was born on June 8, 1948 in Dehue, he was the son of the late Richard and Nita Stewart Browning. In addition to his parents, Bobby was preceded in death by on brother Richard “Dickie” Browning.

Upon the loss of his parents, his care was entrusted to Juanita Elkins, a dear friend of the Browning family. Bobby currently resided at Patty’s Home Away from Home at Whitman, where he found a special caregiver, Courtney Vance that made his stay as enjoyable and comfortable as possible.

Bobby was well known in the Lyburn community and was loved by all who knew him. He enjoyed telling stories to anyone that sat down for a visit with hime. He loved listening to a variety of music, his favorites being Elvis Presley and Fats Domino.

Those left to cherish his memory are Juanita Elkins, as well as her extended family and the many friends in the Lyburn community. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday October 17, 2018 at 1:00 PM at Honaker Funeral Home in Logan. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery at Pecks Mill, WV.

Friends may visit with Bobby one more from 11:00 – 1:00 PM on Wednesday at the funeral home.
