Daniel A. Rothbauer March 17, 1941-July 24, 2018 South Bend-Daniel A. Rothbauer, 77, passed away on Tuesday, July 24 at Memorial Hospital. Daniel was born on March 17, 1941 in Evanston, IL to Louis and Katherine (Graham) Rothbauer. He was preceded in death by his parents; stepmother, Gloria Rothbauer and a brother, James.

On January 11, 2005 he married Lori Epson. Surviving are his wife, Lori; children, Brian (Heather) Rothbauer, Philip Rothbauer, Marc (Morgan Younger) Baker and Amber (Nicholas) Bau; grandchildren, Steph, Nick and Josh Rothbauer, Ashley, Matthew, Austin, Christina and Isabelle Bau; sisters, Mary (Chuck) Moore, Patricia (Bob) Fittshur and Louise (Mark) Whipp and brother, John (Lynn) Rothbauer. Daniel started Sigma Switches in Elkhart in 1983 and served as the CEO before retiring in 2016.

He was a Veteran of the United States Army. Visitation will be on Sunday, July 29 from 2 to 6 p.m. with a Rosary at 2:30 p.m.in Hahn Funeral Home, 505 W. 8th Street, Mishawaka. A Mass of Christian Burial will be on Monday, July 30 at 10 a.m. at St. Matthew Cathedral in South Bend.

Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery, Mishawaka, with Military Honors by VFW Post 360/American Legion 161 burial team. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to St. Vincent DePaul Society. To leave the family an online condolence, please visit www.
