Darlene J. Frederick, 92, passed away peacefully on Thursday, May 31, 2018. She was born on September 1, 1925 in Woodstock, where she lived most of her life. She worked at Woodstock Die Casting for 32 years.

She enjoyed raising her girls, gardening, vacationing in Florida, knitting, and was an avid Cubs fan. She also loved to read and enjoyed four to five novels a week. She is lovingly remembered by her daughters, Sharon Kramer, Barb (Dave) Gates, Janet Jackson, Becky (Dan) Corcoran, Patty (Scott) Sommers, Peggy (Kevin) Schmidt; step-daughter, Judy (Bill) Vincent; niece, Carol (John) Perschke; 16 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Olan and Martha Kuntz; her brother, Dale Kuntz; her husband, Robert J. Frederick; and an infant daughter, Bonnie Jo Pierce. Visitation for Darlene will be on Wednesday, June 6, 2018 from 9:00 am until the service at 11:00 am at Schneider Leucht Merwin & Cooney Funeral Home 1211 N. Seminary Ave. , Woodstock IL 60098.

Interment will be at McHenry County Memorial Park Cemetery.
