Obituary for Darrel Lynn Brant Isabel, Kansas – Darrel Lynn Brant, 74, passed away Wednesday, September 19, 2018. He was born February 13, 1944 in Nashville to John M. and Bette (Brown) Brant. Darrel married Patricia Morgan April 2, 1970.

They were married for 32 years. Then on August 28, 2004, he married Nancy Ann (Homister) Brant in Pratt. She survives.

Darrel received his Bachelors Degree in sheep management from Cal Poly. He was a member of Isabel Church of Christ, and formerly on Kansas Farm Bureau Board, Pratt County Achievement Board, Farm Service Agencies (FSA), Pratt County 4-H Board and KARL Program (Kansas Agriculture Rural Leadership). He enjoyed farming, ranching, working hard, helping with sales at Hamm Auction, traveling and spending time with his grandchildren.

He is survived by wife, Nancy; children, Obe (Lynn) Brant of Sawyer, Jeb (Charla) Brant of Hastings, Nebraska, Claudia (Dustin) Edwards of Auburn, Alabama, Dustin (Jamie) Inslee of Preston, Cody (Alisha) Inslee of Denver, Colorado, Laramie (Randall) Clements of Wichita and Heather Inslee of Pratt; sister, Deana (David) Dick of Kingman; brother, Jon (Shirley) Isin of Salina; and 14 granchildren, Wyatt, Dylan, Samuel, Tate, Isaiah, Calan and Anna Brant, Justice and Noble Edwards, Shalea and Kalea Taylor, Wyatt and Emma Inslee and Braden Carmichael. Darrel is preceded in death by his parents. Visitation will be Saturday 9:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m. and Sunday 1:00 p.m.-8:00 p.m. with family receiving friends Sunday from 4-6 at Larrison Mortuary, 300 Country Club Road, Pratt.

Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Monday, September 24, 2018 at First United Methodist Church, Pratt with John Hamm presiding. Burial will follow at Ellenwood Cemetery, Sawyer. Memorials may be made to Focus On The Family or Isabel Church of Christ in care of Larrison Mortuary.
